Goodbye Daycare

Sashimi will be going to Kindergarten this coming schoolyear. It is with heavy heart that I am bidding adieu to the daycare that has been my stopover to work for 5 years.  The same daycare Sushi had graduated from.  I am foreseeing tears... mine! As this chapter will end, then a new one begins.

I have prepare a little something for the teachers who have taken care of my boys.

I got some cute mugs from IKEA. Filling them with some tea sachets, Lindor chocolates, Bath & Body hand lotion and sanitizer.

And what better way to use Sashimi's arts/crafts from daycare than as gift tags for the teachers who helped him make them!

On his last day I shall "leave and heave a sigh and say Goodbye!"

With tears for sure.

Express Yourself

As much as I want to keep everything spic and span at home, we let the kids express themselves by mixing & matching and cutting & pasting. We see tidbits of these in all corners of our space.

Sashimi's has turned his placemat from this

Into this

While Sushi took the liberty of picking the World Map for his placemat, even if it doesn't match my colour scheme.
But he loves geography and he learns while he eats. Why not?

Reusable (Gift) Bag

The kids had a birthday party this weekend. And I didn't have any girly gift bag for their present. Panic time. Checked my storage for what I can repurpose. Saw this reusable bag. I had bought a bunch of them way back from IKEA. And has since been sitting in my stash room. I never thought they make a pretty gift bag. The bag itself is an extra gift.

Then I remember having these red pompoms from the arts & crafts that the kids bring home from school. Adds a little oomph to our present.
