My New Toy

I wrote about Joy Mangano's Little Steamer here. What was causing the delay of my purchase was figuring out the logistics of ordering it online and having it shipped to me from USA hassle-free. On our recent shopping trip in Buffalo NY, I found the Rowenta Ultrasteam in Target at a price I shouldn't forego.

These steamers do not replace conventional ironing for sure, but it gets the job done. At least for me. I don't have to set aside my wrinkled clothes one after another for a day of ironing, which never comes.

This is what the steamer has done to the crinkled ruffles. I thought it wouldn't do the job well on this one. But it did and it's not bad!

Dream Cart

I’m a dutiful water drinker. My buying criteria for a purse is one that would fit a water bottle. But washing my Nalgene is a pain I need to use a serving spoon to push the sponge into and wipe down the inside of it. The Alex Bottle is innovation. The twistable break in the bottle makes deep cleaning within reach.

For flavoured water, this pitcher from CB2 looks good and does the work.

On my recent trip home, I brought the few wrinkled clothes I had set aside for ironing and had the househelp iron them and took them back. Tsk tsk tsk. How about My Little Steamer for My Most Neglected Chore? I’d use this on bed sheets, too.

ALDO Zicafoose

I've often read that flipflops are supposedly just for the swimming/beaches.  So I was on the lookout for a better alternative to my oft-worn Ipanemas, something I could comfortably run around in.  Then I tried ALDO's Zicafoose. I didn't have a chance to fit them more times than I normally would before deciding to buy. Went back couple of times and they were sold out. So I bought it online, sweat-free, the next day it was right at my door. Although not all ALDO are comfortable, this one did not disappoint. 

Retails for C$60.00.  I got it on sale - of course! It comes in black, cognac & bone.
